Spanish Hills Estate – Flawless Level 5 Drywall Skim Coat
PROJECT DETAILS

Spanish Hills Estate – Full Residence Level 5 Substrate Skim

Project Description

Before achieving museum-grade luxury plaster finishes, the foundational substrate must attain absolute geometric perfection. In this custom Spanish Hills estate, previous renovations had left uneven textures, joint flashing, and settlement stress marks across the main 20-foot great room walls.

Our architectural drywall technicians stripped flawed surface coatings, reinforced all critical framing stress junctures with high-tensile fiberglass mesh, and installed laser-straight architectural reveal corner beads. We then executed a comprehensive Level 5 skim coat across 8,000 square feet of ceiling and wall surfaces.

By hand-troweling a continuous monolithic micro-film of specialized vinyl compound followed by precision dustless vacuum sanding, we created a dead-flat, glass-smooth substrate ready for the most unforgiving high-gloss plaster finishes and raking LED cove lighting.
